Your donation funds the independent analysis and expert work that turns raw data into clear evidence. That evidence strengthens our case with the Environment Agency and Wessex Water.
Record
Choose one fixed spot on your stretch (note a landmark, or the w3w) and every few months, take a photo from the same place; in a notebook or simple spreadsheet record the date/time, location, whether it’s flowing or dry, and note the first day it dries and the first day it re-wets. Keep these records ; we’ll let you know if we need them so we can build a clear picture.
Volunteer
Riverfly monitoring tracks the tiny river insects—mayfly, stonefly and caddisfly larvae—that are first to suffer when water quality dips. Trained volunteers take a simple monthly “kick-sample” at fixed spots and score what they find; sudden drops flag problems fast. We’ll share sign-up opportunities on the Tarrant Keyneston Info WhatsApp group—please keep an eye out there.
